For Late Arrivals

5-Day Classic Itinerary

The Goldilocks option. Enough time to relax, take two major tours, explore outside town, and not feel rushed.

Day 1 — Arrival & Town Exploration

Midday Arrival
Settle in, lunch. Afternoon: Walk El Nido town. Visit Art Cafe, Taraw Cafe, local market. Sunset walk at town beach. Dinner and early sleep.

Day 2 — Island Hopping Tour A

8am–4pm
Tour A (Big & Small Lagoons). Cost: ₱1,600/person. Back by afternoon. Rest. Optional evening: sunset drink at Spiral Cafe overlooking town.

Day 3 — Nacpan Beach Day

8am–5pm
Tour C (German Island, Matinloc Shrine, Secret Lagoon, Helicopter Island). More physical than Tour A — 2–3 hikes. Cost: ₱1,600–1,800. Longer day. Dinner early, rest.

Day 5 — Depart

Morning
Morning flight (AirSWIFT 12:30pm or 2pm). Breakfast, checkout, airport transfer. Arrive Manila by 4pm.

Budget (per person): ₱22,000–24,000 (accommodation ₱2,000 × 4, meals ₱900/day × 5, two tours ₱3,200, transfers ₱1,000).

7-Day Deep Dive

Enough time to do three major tours, a beach day, and either a diving trip or Port Barton day trip. This is where El Nido truly reveals itself.

Days 1–2 — Arrival & Town Exploration + Tour A

Same as 5-day above
Settle, explore town. Tour A on Day 2.

Day 3 — Diving or Beach Rest Day

Option A: Diving (if certified)
Two-tank dive from town or Lio Beach area. Cost: ₱3,500–4,500. See Shark Fin Reef, Garden Eel Reef. Book day before.
Option B: Beach Day
Nacpan or Lio Beach. Leisurely swim, massage in town, casual dinner.

Day 4 — Tour C

8am–5pm
Tour C as above. Longer, more physical hikes.

Day 5 — Port Barton Day Trip (Optional)

7am–7pm
Tricycle to Port Barton (1h south). Quieter than El Nido, different vibe. Island-hop locally, eat fresh seafood, return by evening. Cost: ₱200 each way tricycle + ₱1,200 local tour.

Day 6 — Tour D or Rest

Option A: Tour D
Caalan Beach, Papuan Island, longer journey. Full day, 6–7 hours on water. Only if you're still fresh.
Option B: Rest & Spa
Massage in town, yoga, light activities. Save energy for tomorrow.

Day 7 — Depart

12:30pm or 2pm AirSWIFT.

Budget (per person): ₱30,000–33,000 (accommodation ₱2,000 × 6, meals ₱1,000/day, three tours ₱5,000, diving ₱3,500, misc ₱1,500).

10-Day Palawan Circuit

The ultimate Palawan experience. Explore El Nido, then island-hop to Coron, finish with a slower pace at Port Barton. Requires more planning but reveals the full region.

Days 1–5 — El Nido (as per 5-day itinerary above)

Tours A & C, beach day, explore town.

Days 6–8 — Coron (3 days)

Transport Day 5 Evening or Day 6 Early
Options: (1) Ferry from El Nido to Coron (5–6 hrs, ₱600–800, rough seas, departs 8am, booking required). (2) Flight via Puerto Princesa (more expensive, faster). Ferry is the authentic slow-travel experience. Arrive Coron afternoon, settle in.
Day 7 — Coron Island Tour or Wrecks
Choose: (A) Coron Island beach hopping (Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, Barracuda Lake). (B) Wreck diving if certified (famous WW2 Japanese wrecks). Cost: ₱1,800–2,400 or ₱4,000+ for diving.
Day 8 — Rest or Second Tour
Relax in Coron town, snorkel near shore, or take a second tour. Coron is smaller than El Nido but excellent for diving.

Days 9–10 — Port Barton (2 days)

Day 9 — Coron to Port Barton
Tricycle/van from Coron town (2–2.5 hours, ₱300–400). Arrive midday. Settle. Island-hop locally in afternoon (₱1,200). Quieter vibe than Coron.
Day 10 — Depart
Tricycle back to Puerto Princesa (3.5 hours, ₱400), catch afternoon flight to Manila. Or extend another day if flexibility allows.

Budget (per person): ₱48,000–54,000 (6 nights × ₱2,000–2,500 accommodation, ₱1,000/day meals, tours ₱7,500, ferry/transport ₱2,500, misc).

Ferry Caveat

The El Nido–Coron ferry is seasonal and weather-dependent. November–May is safer. June–October has higher cancellation risk. Check schedules 2 weeks before. Book with caution in shoulder months. Flights (via Puerto Princesa) are more reliable but cost 3x more.

Booking Strategy: What to Reserve Ahead vs Walk-In

Activity Book Ahead? Timeline Notes
Accommodation YES (high season) 2–4 weeks November–April books out. June–Sept is easier.
Island Tours (A, C) 24–48 hours before Walk-in OK Book at your hotel or tour office. Rare to be fully booked same-day.
Tour D / Duli 2–3 days before Less frequent Fewer operators, book with more notice.
Diving Trips Day before Walk-in OK Choose at your accommodation. Multiple operators daily.
Ferry (Coron) YES 1–2 weeks Limited schedules, books up. Call Coron to confirm.
AirSWIFT Flights YES 1–2 weeks Limited seats, books full. Book online at airswiftaviation.com
